Sports Injury Treatments

June 20, 2016

Some sports injuries result from accidents; others are due to poor training practices, improper equipment, lack of conditioning, or insufficient warm-up and stretching.

Although virtually any part of your body can be injured during sports or exercise, the term is usually reserved for injuries that involve the musculoskeletal system, which includes the muscles, bones, and associated tissues like cartilage.

Treatment involves using remedial deep tissue massage and correction techniques with essential oils to alleviate the inflammation, reduce the congestion and bruising in the muscle, increase strength in the affected tendons and muscle and reduce pain.

Manual pressing, rubbing, and manipulating massage techniques soothes tense muscles and increases blood flow to the injury site helping it to heal and strengthen.

Advice is given on what muscles need to be worked on to prevent it happening again and exercises administered.

Unique natural muscle injury oil would be prescribed to be rubbed on over the affected area and used in the bath to soothe the effects of the injury from the whole body so that the treatment can be carried on at home.
