This in-depth course will teach you everything that you need to know about essential oils and how to use them on other people.
This course is excellent for people who are already a qualified therapist in any discipline and would like to add essential oils to their treatment but be fully qualified to do so.
Course Overview: A IFA approved course teaching all aspects of Essential Oils designed to train you to work within a clinic setting, in hospitals, care homes and hospices using essential oils.
Start Date: The course is designed around you and so you can start the course at any time.
Who the course is for: The course is designed for people who cannot afford to stop working to study or those who have children or time or health constraints which means that they cannot commit to a full time course in a college but can work from home.
Entry requirements: There are no entry requirements as all students will be taught everything they need to know to use essential oils.
If someone wanted to use them in massage , they must show prior qualifications in massage and Anatomy and Physiology.
This course is not intended to be a quicker way of obtaining a qualification in Aromatherapy, you must take the full diploma if you want to use essential oils directly onto the body as this Essential Oils course does not teach Anatomy and Physiology.
Learning methods: The course consists of an on-line campus where students can log on and download all the study materials and study at home and in the time frame they desire. There are 5 modules consisting of 15 weeks of theory of which homework needs to be submitted for each week.
There are practical workshops within the 15 weeks where students will learn all aspects of blending and how to make their own creams/lotions and oitnments.
Students will be asked to submit a short thesis at the end of the course.
Students without a computer will be sent the study material through the post.
Assessment methods: All theory will be assessed by homework submitted by the student and given a mark which goes towards their final mark.
Students need to complete case studies at home which they submit and are assessed on at the end of the course.
School exams on theory and practical will be taken at the end of the course.
Qualifications gained: Diploma in Essential Oils (non-massage) and able to use the letters Dip Ess Oils
Course costs: The cost of the course is £1300. The student needs to buy their own essential and carrier oils, pens, paper and books needed for the course.
